Dolleina Pty Ltd seeks a healthy and safe environment for all employees and visitors. Employees are obligated to perform their jobs in a safe manner and to follow all safety rules.

Safety involves a commitment from everyone engaged in the management and delivery of services and refers most basically to the prevention of fire, accidents, injury and property damage. Through alertness and prompt reporting by employees, safety hazards can be identified and removed. Report frayed electrical cords, trip hazards, broken or inappropriate equipment and fire hazards, loose handrails and slippery surfaces.

Alcohol & Other Drugs

Dolleina Pty Limited are committed to ensuring the health, safety & welfare of all employees, clients, suppliers & contractors in the workplace and will not tolerate persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the work environment.

Alcohol and drugs have the ability to impair their capacity to perform duties in a safe manner which can place themselves or others at risk. All employees regardless of position within the organisation have a responsibility when commencing work to ensure they are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  All management have a responsibility to assess the suitability of their subordinates & co-workers to undertake work duties without risk to themselves or others. Where it is suspected an employees ability is impaired by either alcohol appropriate actions must be taken to eliminate any potential hazard.

Workplace Harassment & Bullying

Dolleina Pty Limited is committed to the prevention of workplace bullying and consider the behaviour inappropriate and unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

All persons engaged by the organisation shall have the right to work in a place free of bullying and violence. The company has a responsibility to ensure that risk of such occurrences is reduced or eliminated through systematic monitoring. Employees and contractors must also accept responsibility for their actions toward others in the workplace and shall not take part in any bullying or violent activities.

Smoke Free Workplace

Dolleina Pty Limited are committed to providing a healthy & safe working environment for all employees, clients, contractors and visitors entering our workplace by implementation of a smoke free workplace policy.

For reasons of safety, public relations and other concerns smoking within any indoor spaces or designated outdoor spaces is prohibited.

Employees of Dolleina SHALL NOT smoke when working at or within company offices, respite houses, or company vehicles.

Employees of Dolleina SHALL NOT be permitted to smoke when in the presence of a client, a minor, an intellectually disabled or brain injured client.

A breach of the smoke free work place policy may result in disciplinary action.

Injury Management

Dolleina Pty Limited are committed to the prevention of injuries and communicable diseases associated with basic hygiene in the workplace by providing a safe work environment and proper education on hygiene related issues.

When an employee suffers an injury or suffers from a disease and work is a substantial contributing factor to that illness or injury, Dolleina shall support the injured worker in every aspect of their rehabilitation with the primary objective of returning the injured employee to their pre-injury duties and working capacity.
